Stinky Loo puts Businessman in the Poo in Bristol

Posted on Monday 30th August 2010

A substantial fine of £30 000 as well as £3500 costs of court,  has been handed down to Alan Dykes for failing to maintain a shared toilet block at a site in Speedwell.  In October 2008, he was served with an improvement notice, however during repeated visits, the Bristol City Council EHO found dried excretement on toilet pans, cubicle doors and walls.  Despite pleading not guilty at Bristol Magistrates Court in April 2010, the magistrates decided he had put his staff at risk of disease and he had failed on 2 counts to comply with the notice.
